Individual Therapy

I offer individual therapy, also known as counseling, psychotherapy, or “talk therapy” to adults. Therapy can help with a wide range of mental health issues, emotional difficulties, and life challenges.

Therapy is collaborative, and its effectiveness depends to a great extent on the trusting, professional relationship that develops between the client and the therapist. My most important job as a therapist is to create a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space for the work of therapy to take place. Sessions will initially be scheduled weekly and will last for 45-60 minutes.

Working together, you and I will develop mutually agreed-upon treatment goals. To facilitate movement and growth, I will draw upon various techniques and strategies to help you move toward achieving your goals.

My approach to working with people is tailored to each person’s unique needs. I have had training in a variety of evidence-based therapeutic practices. In my work with you, I will draw from different approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Person-Centered approaches, and others. I also utilize mindfulness in my sessions.

Areas of Focus Include:

  • Anxiety
  • Chronic pain
  • Depression
  • End-of-life issues

I offer telehealth via a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. I earned a 24-credit TeleMental Health and Digital Ethics certificate from the Zur Institute.

Therapy for Depression

Are you feeling sad and hopeless? Are you wanting to spend more time alone and feeling less confident? You may have noticed changes in your sleeping patterns, appetite, and energy level. Perhaps you don't enjoy the activities you used to enjoy.

Grief & Loss

Coping with the loss of someone you love is one of life's greatest challenges. As humans, we grieve not only when someone we care about dies, but we also grieve a wide variety of other losses in our lives.

Counseling for Anxiety

Do you feel nervous, restless, or tense? Do you often feel weak or tired? Is it hard for you to concentrate? Do you have trouble sleeping? You may be struggling with anxiety.

Life Transitions

Change gives us the opportunity to recognize strengths we didn’t know we had and to become more confident and better prepared for what life throws our way in the future.
